Justin Maurice's Trio Blues...Five Long Years

Justin Maurice's Trio Blues presents part of his Tribute To ROBERT JOHNSON, and his new album of blues standards entitled "Five Long Years"...
JUSTIN MAURICE' Trio blues is...good, round, muscular blues!
Knowing that bassist Yannick Laguide from the Val d'Aosta is on board, we know in advance that it's going to be hot, hot, with good covers of the genre's standards (listen to the Five Long Years CD on Bandcamp). He has accompanied some great bluesmen throughout his long career...
On drums, you'll be surprised by René Nottoli, who spent a year learning with John Coltrane! Jazz tours to the four corners of the earth, his friendship with Jean-Pierre Como, of Sixun... while he was busy in La Courneuve with his cultural association...
Finally, Justin Maurice is one of the leading lights of the French blues scene, playing harmo, guitars, keyboards...and singing. Following a successful career as a singer, songwriter and performer...and many titles in French in the distant past, he met American bluesman John Jackson, who introduced him to picking and the blues repertoire (this was in 1973 at the Nancy Jazz pulsation festival (see arch. INA). A little later we see Justin in the studio with amazing musicians such as Patrick Jouanneau, and especially Janic Top...
For the repertoire: blues! Delta blues, with a Tribute To ROBERT JOHNSON always available, and great blues standards revisited...Buddy Guy, Eric Clapton, BB. King, Daniel Castro, John Mayall...as in their latest CD: Five Long Years...And then the original compositions begin to arrive...like "Le Blues"...
