Oliver Griffith Jazz Duo
American saxophonist, flautist and singer Oliver Griffith, accompanied by French virtuoso Patrice Galas on piano, presents a program of jazz standards, bossa novas and blues.
Oliver Griffith, who studied jazz and ethnomusicology and worked for 20 years as a diplomat, has organized jazz bands around the world and performed at festivals in Africa, South America and Europe. He has performed as a soloist alongside international stars such as Franco de Vita and Mary Wilson and the Supreme. He has also recorded a collaborative album with renowned musicians Dave Friedman and Joe Cohn, and contributed to four other recordings.

Patrice Galas is one of France's most eminent pianists. He has recorded nearly twenty albums in collaboration with artists such as saxophonists Pepper Adams and Manu Dibango. He has also toured with saxophonist Johnny Griffin. As a member of drummer Kenny Clarke's band, he accompanied jazz legends such as Dizzy Gillespie, Stan Getz, Dexter Gordon, as well as other international jazz greats such as Benny Golson, Scott Hamilton, Marcus Miller, and Joshua Redman.
