BAÏKAL
Baïkal...This is the story of musicians stranded on the frozen shores of a Siberian lake in early March 2020. Embarked on a singular adventure involving artists and scientists, they had come to listen to the lake and pay tribute to the beauty and diversity of the world.
From this expedition to Siberia, a sound was born.
The sound of the world's deepest lake as it came to them: powerful, wild and ethereal all at once. A unifying musical aesthetic, a blend of Electro, chanson, sprinkled with Buryat and Russian sounds, all combined with the real sounds of the lake, enthusiastically recorded during the "arts & sciences" residency on site...
